Argiano, Brunello di Montalcino 2019
Argiano, Brunello di Montalcino 2019
Tasting Note: Delightful aromas of juicy red cherries, strawberries, rose petals and scrub, with hints of juniper and wild herbs.
Medium-bodied with firm tannins, zesty with subtle hints of orange blossom that develops into softly toasted spice and earth. It has a beautiful balance with plenty of fruit at the end, it finishes spicy and long, yet its energy never wavers, with those grippy tannins that tug at the cheeks as liquorice and cranberry notes fade.
Suggested drinking window commencing 2027.

Additional Information: Argiano is one of Montalcino's oldest and most beautiful estates (and was one of the members of the original Brunello Consorzio).
Although the estate is situated in the south of the region which tends to be several degrees warmer than vineyards to the north, the vineyards achieve good elevation and comprise a high percentage of the mineral-rich marl in their clay-limestone soil, also found in the hill of Montosoli, Montalcino’s widely accepted “Grand Cru” site.
