Bow & Arrow, Fool’s Gold 2021

Rich on the nose, layers of hawthorn, white fruits and a delicate minerality. Intense and round on the palate with spiced stone fruits, mango, pear and beeswax. Apple and acacia on the long finish.

Additional Information: In 2010 Scott  Frank founded Bow & Arrow, subterranean winery located in Northeast Portland. 

Fruit is from a small group of exceptional farmers who were willing to take a risk grafting or planting the varieties Scott required and farm them in a way that was aligned with his low intervention values, exploring a different, simpler side of the Willamette Valley. Bow & Arrow’s inspiration is the refreshing wines of France’s Loire Valley.

After an experiment in 2019 to make a Cheverny Blanc style of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc and the resulting wine exceeding all expectations, Scott and Dana Frank decided to make all of their Fool’s Gold with the 50/50 blend in 2021.
