Chapuis, Bouzeron Aligote, 2022
Chapuis, Bouzeron Aligote, 2022
Tasting Note: 100% Aligote. On the nose, very invigorating floral and lemony notes! The palate is very direct, with seashells tied together with an appealingly plush texture, salinity and minerality with a long finish.
Bouzeron is Burgundy's only village-level AOC wine made from Aligoté, this punches above its appellation.
Country: France Region Bouzeron, Burgundy

Additional Information:
Romain and Jean-Guillaume Chapuis are based in Ladoix-Serrigny where they make low-intervention wines from grapes they grow and source from trusted growers. The brothers come from the well-known Chapuis winemaking family and have access to some of the region's greatest vineyards (including 1er and Grand Cru sites).
Roman was a flying winemaker for 10 years, travelling worldwide and then returning for a three-year stint making wine for Philippe Pacalet. The Chapuis & Chapuis project started in 2009 to make serious but approachable wines with real drinkability.
Organic grapes, spontaneous fermentations, relatively short ageing in old oak. Unfined, unfiltered and small doses of SO2 at bottling.
