Additional Information: Cota 45 is the project of Ramiro Ibáñez, a prestigious oenologist from Jeréz who works as an adviser in different wineries of the Sherry Triangle. He built his Bodega in a boat repair shop overlooking the Guadalquivir river focusing on recovered native varieties and experimenting with the different "albariza" soils. The name refers to 45 metres above sea level, the point where Ramiro believes the best albariza soils can be found.
With Cota 45, Ramiro seeks to make manzanilla in a traditional way without fortification and with shorter ageing. El Reventón is a single vineyard that sits in remarkably close proximity to the Atlantic ocean. 2021 was the first vintage that Cota 45 worked with these vines.
