Cote-Rotie, Pierre Blanche 2015, Xavier Mourier

A robust deep red wine lovely aromas of raspberry, ripe blackberries, spices and a hint of violet. A full palate with a wonderful texture, the tannins are balanced by fine soft fruit flavours and a fresh finish.

Made predominantly from Syrah with a tiny amount of Viognier. This estate was created from scratch in 1989 by Michel and Xavier Mourier, who cleared the land and laid out terraces before planting. Originally 1.5 ha, the vineyard has grown to over 17 ha today, on slopes facing south-south-east, with slopes of 40 to 60%.

Will pair with grilled beef, lamb, veal and pork, chicken, game, duck, stews, braised foods and fish dishes are all great pairings.
