Domaine Agnès Paquet Auxey-Duresses 2018

Nose of cherries and raspberries with an underlying earthiness. Dark cherries on the palate, hints of spice and oak. Smooth tannins and good structure. Elegant finish.

Additional Information: Located in the commune of Meloisey in the Côte, the land has been in Agnès Paquet’s family from the 1950s when her grandparents, and later her parents  acquired the land and resented it out to local winegrowers. When her parents decided to think about selling the land she decided to take over the plot and run it herself. The first vintage was in 2001.

Today, Domaine Agnès Paquet owns 13 hectares of land, farms organically and focuses on classic quality with particular attention to the subtleties of terroir. 

Partial whole bunch fermentation in cement tanks and lasting 15-20 days.  Aging is in barrels (15-30% new) for 10-12 months, depending on the vintage.
