Domaine Bott-Geyl Riesling Grafenreben 2017
Domaine Bott-Geyl Riesling Grafenreben 2017
The wine is intense and salty, with nuances of stone fruit and walnut. Refreshing lemon on the nose carrying through onto a refreshing palate with citrus acidity and a structured minerality. The finish is long and dry with a hint of candied lemon zest.

Additional Information: Established in 1775, the 15 hectares of Domaine Bott-Geyl vineyards converted to biodynamic status in 2002 under Jean-Christophe Bott who has been responsible for the Domaine since 1993. Jean-Christophe is focussed on low yields with minimal intervention in the winery in order to showcase the terroir, which include six Grand Crus.
The grapes are from the south east facing vineyard, Grafenreben from where the wine takes its name. Soil is clay and chalk. Grapes are manually harvested, natural fermentation using indigenous yeasts taking place from three to six months. No filtration is used but wine is racked and allowed to gradually clarify.
