Domaine De L’aigle A Duex Tetes, Les Clos 2022 (Savagnin)
This Savagnin is a pure ouille-style (topped off/non-oxidative). Rich, sappy, lemon, wax and just a hint of honey and almonds. Nice example of non-oxidative savagnin, crisp and bright without the flor influence. Lemon curd and a creamy texture and fine mineral finish. It is long on the palate with a vibrant core of acidity.

Additional Information: Established in 2004 by Henri Le Roy in the Côtes du Jura, Domaine de l'Aigle À Deux Têtes focuses on producing terroir-driven wines from local varietals.
The 'Le Clous' is made from 100% Savagnin, known in his sub-region as Naturé.
Savagnin is in the Traminer family of grape varieties, a close cousin of Gewurztraminer, though Savagnin is much more citrus-driven with high acidity and a mineral-focused palate. The wine is barrel-fermented to bring richness and texture to the grapefruit-centred citrus flavours, while a hint of tropical papaya plays a beautiful foil to the strident minerality that the Jura is known for in its wines.
