Domaine des Malandes, Chablis, Envers de Valmur 2021
Tasting Note: A richer style of Chablis with a lovely creaminess and a round texture.
Cool, pure and airy aromas of oyster shell, green apple and a touch of spice wisp. Fleshy and solidly concentrated flavours possess a caressing, but punchy mouthfeel.
Country: France Region: Chablis
ABV:12.5% Bottle Size: 75cl Organic: Yes (2019 is the first year of organic certification)
Additional Information: The Domaine des Malandes was run by Lyne Marchive, from the Tremblay family of Chablis winemakers, between 1972 and 2017, with the help of Guénolé Breteaudeau, an enologist, who joined the estate in 2006.
In 2017, Lyne’s children took over the business, with Richard Rottiers at the helm, and her daughter Amandine taking care of sales. The approach on this 28-hectare estate has always been about respecting the environment and the vines and taking great care to ensure that the character of the wines reflects the nature of their terroir.
