A stunning Jura Chardonnay that balances precision with depth. Bright orchard fruit, citrus zest, and white flowers lead into subtle layers of almond, brioche, and flinty minerality. Fresh yet textured, with a long, saline finish. Phenomenal.

Additional Information: Henri Le Roy is a first-generation winemaker who began his original career as a Biologist in Paris. Falling in love with Burgundy but without a Burgundian wallet, he settled in the Jura and begin his second career in wine starting l’Aigle à Deux Têtes (the two- headed Eagle). He farms around 5 hectares of vines in the Vincelles area of the Jura. This is the next village up from Rotalier (home to the world renown Ganevat and Labet).
His first vintage was in 2005, and he has continued to evolve and grow as a winemaker for the past decade-plus. Henri prefers to make Ouille-styled wines (topped off barrels) as opposed to the traditional oxidative or biological-styled wines for his whites that the Jura is known for.
No additions apart from SO2 at bottling. These wines have great tension and depth and can be found in some of the great restaurants of the world.
This is Henri's top cuvée ‘Vernambaud’, a magical plot just outside the village of Grusse. Here there are two isolated parcels of vines surrounded by forest, one is a very well-known vineyard belonging to Domaine des Miroirs (Entre deux Bleus), and the other is Henri’s. The soils here are rich in blue marl and the site is known for its low yields, giving minerality and texture that make this Chardonnay stand out.
Shows well now, yet has the structure to evolve further. Fantastic value for a wine with expression and finesse.
