Donnhoff Sekt Riesling 2018

This puristic Riesling sparkling wine is in the house style and, just like the great Rieslings, has a huge portion of freshness and minerality. The aroma is complex with noble yeast notes, a little light dough, sage, slightly smoky notes, peach and green apple.

It shows a lot of tension on the palate, the taut acid structure perfectly ties the delicate creaminess together and provides a lot of pull and bright freshness.

Noble autolysis aromas in the form of ciabatta dough and white toast from the long bottle fermentation also come to the fore on the palate. Still, the delicate Riesling fruit plays a much more important role here in combination with the cool minerality. The finish is very long, elegant and slightly salty.
