Intense aromas of plum, and blueberries with underlying notes of new leather and black pudding. Well well-integrated and powerful in the mouth. Eucalyptus notes on the long and delicious finish.

Additional Information: Bodegas Emilio Moro are based in Pesquera de Duero in the heart of Ribera del Duero. Eschewing traditional notions of classification like crianza and reserva, the family have produced wines that express their terroir and their family’s heritage.
“Malleolus” is Latin which means ‘majuelo’ or hawthorn, the vineyards in Pesquera de Duero are referred to as such. Grapes are from these old majuelos, bush trained and on trellises from some of their best vineyards.
Macerated on the skins for 18 days. Following malolactic fermentation in stainless steel vats, it is aged in one and two-year-old 500l French oak barrels with 60% in new oak.
