Country: Spain  Region: Montilla-Moriles Grapes: Pedro Ximénez

ABV: 20.5%  Bottle Size: 75cl

Additional Information: Equipo Navazos was started by friends Jesús Barquín, wine writer and criminology professor, and Eduardo Ojeda, the technical director at Grupo Estevez (which includes Valdespino and La Gitana) have gone from solely bottling wines for themselves and their friends to being one of the most renowned in the area.

Equipo Navazos seek out the most interesting butts hiding in many of Andalusia's most prestigious bodegas to make some of the most interesting wines on the market. They are made available to wine lovers in limited quantities under the ‘La Bota’ series with consecutively numbered editions, and the withdrawal date ‘saca’ on the label.

The casks were selected from the Solera Diógenes, located in the third row at the Bodega El Puente, the same bodega as their previous release 46 and 74. This release is five years older than 74. The average age is 35 years. Saca is October 2022 with only 2,700 bottled.
