Equipo Navazos seek out the most interesting butts hiding in many of Andalusia's most prestigious bodegas to make some of the most interesting wines on the market. They are made available to wine lovers in limited quantities under the ‘La Bota’ series with consecutively numbered editions (previous releases numbered 1,9,37,58 and 95), and the withdrawal date ‘saca’ on the label.
The La Bota de Amontillado Montilla 117 is a previously unbottled Amontillado from Montilla-Moriles. First aged for a long time as a fino and first oxidative stage in a prestigious winery in Lucena before being moved to the cellars of Pérez-Barquero to refine, from where it was selected. The wine is between 25 to 30 years of average age. It is not fortified but concentrated from evaporation. Bottled in the summer of 2022. 3,000 bottles produced.
