I Mandorli, “ZINO” Vino Bianco di Pantelleria, 2018

The nose is pleasantly aromatic and fragrant, with notes of rosehip, apricot, elderflower, rosemary and almond. On the palate it is dry, savory and direct. It smells and tastes of the Island.

Massimo and Paola are the founders of I Mandorli winery in Tuscany, after returning from a holiday in Sicily, they recovered one hectare of 60 year plus of Moscato di Alessandria vines, known locally as Zibibbo. From volcanic soil, rich in pumice stone and sand. Spontaneous fermentation in open tanks with five days of skin contact. Aged in amphora for six months and then in the bottle. Only 600 bottles produced.
