Fragrant and inviting, with ripe red cherries, wild strawberry, and floral notes of violet and rose petal lifting from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied and generous, with fine grained tannins, soft acidity, and a thread of earthy minerality and fresh acidity that gives lift and tension grounding the ripe fruit. Hints of white pepper, clove, and lightly toasted oak add subtle complexity, leading to a clean and elegant finish.

Additional Information: Domaine Franck Lamargue was founded in 2005 by Franck Lamargue and is based in La Rochepot, just over the hill from Saint-Aubin in the southern Côte de Beaune. 

This wine is sourced from the “Les Gamets” lieu-dit in Monthelie, a village nestled between Volnay and Auxey-Duresses, with the vineyard lying near the border of the latter. 

Made from 100% Pinot Noir, the fruit is hand-harvested and grown using organic practices, with a focus on expressing purity and terroir through traditional Burgundian methods. Vinification includes ageing in oak barrels, carefully managed to support the wine’s structure without overwhelming its finesse This is a classically styled red Burgundy—elegant and fruit-driven, with freshness, fine tannins, and a subtle mineral edge.
