Famille Heraud is a long-established family of growers based around Clisson, producing Muscadet with respect for terroir and organic farming practices, using granite and other local soils to give vibrancy and minerality to their wines.

Muscadet Sèvre et Maine is the premier sub-appellation of Muscadet in the Loire Valley near Nantes, characterised by cool oceanic climate and granitic/schist soils that lend minerality. “Sur Lie” indicates the wine was bottled directly from lees after a winter of lees aging, adding texture and complexity.

Made from 100% Melon de Bourgogne, gently pressed and vinified with minimal intervention, then aged on lees to build mouthfeel and complexity typical of Loire sur lie styles.

The Nantes area sees cool Atlantic influences, moderating ripening and preserving sharp acidity, ideal for crisp, seafood-friendly whites.
