Bold and rich on the nose, cassis, cigar, black forest gateau and tar on the nose. On the powerful palate, liquorice, spice and blackberry jam. Tannins are integrated with some oak influence. Long leathery, earthy finish. Intense.

Located in the middle of McLaren Vale, the family flourish on producing perfect parcels of fruit on their 100 hectare ‘Taranga’ property.
DJ is a man of few words but his passion for grape growing is only exceeded by his passion for his family (and sport!). This reserve Cabernet is a deserving testament to him, his grit, focus and relentless efforts to grow the best fruit possible.
From vines planted in 1948. Low intervention with indigenous yeasts, no sulphur added. Two years in oak, all of it French and half of it new, half of it pre-used.
