A classic Vermouth di Torino Rosso from Scarpa, made using a blend of botanicals. A balanced, bitter-sweet aperitif, it offers notes of sweet raisins, gentle spice, cardamom and bitter angostura bark throughout the palate.
Scarpa Vermouth di Torino Rosso is the best red Vermouth we have found for making a Negroni. Trust me, we tried a lot and this one came out tops. The base wine is Moscato d’Asti DOCG and Scarpa has used the same secret blend of 40 herbs to infuse the wine with a crazy amount of flavour. Lovely over ice, with a bit of tonic or equal parts Gin and Campari.

Additional Information: Scarpa was founded in the 1850s by Antonia Scarpa and cemented its reputation as one of the best wineries in the region in the 1940s under winemaker Mario Pesce. Mario was a great advocate of sustainable agriculture, traditional winemaking and long bottle ageing. These three principles are the bedrock on which Scarpa’s great wines are based. Their range centres around the great Nebbiolo-based wines of Barolo and Barbaresco but they also produce wonderful single vineyard Barbera d’Asti and one or two of Italy’s finest Vermouths.
