Schnaitmann, ‘O’ Orange 2022
Schnaitmann, ‘O’ Orange 2022
Muted orange in the glass. Spicy notes, nutmeg, vegetable nuances such as autumn leaves, lime leaves, nettle and chervil and a subtle elderflower scent. Subtly fruity notes of lemon juice and peel, grapefruit and peach. Grippy, spicy tannins are accompanied by a ripe acidity. The stony minerality brings a fresh mouthfeel. Long finish.

ABV: 12.5% Bottle Size: 75cl Organic
This orange wine comes from high-quality, traditional vineyards in the Remstal. The old vines mean small, concentrated yields and a loose grape structure.
White grapes are macerated for 60 days, as per Schnaitmann’s red wines. Spontaneous fermentation then aged for 10 months of maturation in old 300-liter wooden barrel, bottled without the addition of sulphur or filtration.
Pairs well with sushi/sashimi, mushrooms, vegetables, river fish, seafood, poultry, game and veal.
