Sugrue South Downs - The Trouble with Dreams 2019

Complex nose of biscuit, brioche, oatmeal with underlying baked apples and hints of gunpowder. Intensely flavoured with a smooth creamy texture yet a crisp acidity bringing freshness. Savoury pastry, peaches and honey on the palate. Toasted hazelnuts on the long finish. Incredible.

Additional Information: The Trouble with Dreams 2014 won the Decanter Trophy 2014 and the top 50 wines in the World 2015, it has aged incredibly and will continue to develop up to 2030, retaining freshness but gaining amazing complexity in the glass.

From Dermot Sugrue’s (previously head winemaker at Wiston) Mount Harry and Storrington Priory vineyards and the Jenkin Place Vineyard in Hampshire. A very small vintage due to spring frosts with only 7,700 bottles produced.
