Dark mahogany. Aromas of dried figs, dates, kaffir leaf and orange peel. Rounded and coats the mouth with a bitter sweetness, well balanced with good acidity.

Additional Information: The Toro Albala bodega was set up in 1922 and it pioneered the introduction of the the dessert-styled Pedro Ximenez in 1970 and remains the world's only specialist in 100% vintage Pedro Ximenez wines as well as characterful dry, old, vintage-dated Amontillados of outstanding quality.
It is located in a former power station at Aguilar de la Frontera. The soleras in the subterranean tunnels of the old building comprise of approximately 6000 barrels, some of which contain the oldest wines available in Andalucia, the oldest stocks which are released in small batches.
This wine proceeds from one of the first grape harvests led by Antonio Sánchez in Toro Albalá.The Toro Albala 1965 Don PX is produced from the “asoleo” process where Pedro Ximénez grapes are dried in the sun to obtain a great richness in sugars. After the press, it was left to rest for 12 months and before aging in old amontillado butts. Bottled in 2014. Awarded 97 points by Robert Parker and Best Sherry Mundus Vini 2015.
