Additional Information: One of the original Grandes Marques of 1882, Domaine Edouard Brun is a small, family-owned House in the prestigious, Grand Cru village of Aÿ.
Today Edouard Brun’s Grandsons, Emmanuel and Philippe run the company and produce approximately 250,000 bottles annually (compared to Moet’s 30 million)
They own eight hectares of vineyards (accounting for around half their production) and grower contracts in place that permit a larger scale production than would otherwise be possible.
The Domaine produces wines that are rich and rounded in style, partly due to the use of neutral barrels. Prolonged lees and bottle age are a hallmark of Brun's vintage wines, bringing autolytic and secondary flavours.
